Rcc And Sou Knocking Down Walls For Higher Education In Medford

RCC and SOU held a demolition event on October 27, 2006 to knock down the walls for higher education in Medford. RCC and SOU Presidents Peter Angstadt and Mary Cullinan, SOU and RCC Foundation Board members, Medford Urban Renewal Agency Board and Staff members, members of the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County and State Representatives all were in attendance to witness the swinging of sledge hammers to demolish the final remaining wall of the old Oak Merchant building, at the corner of 9th and Bartlett Streets, to make way for the new Medford Higher Education Center.
