Middleford Alley
1999 & 2001, $900,000Redevelopment of Middleford Alley into a shared pedestrian and vehicle space occurred along with construction of Medford's first parking structure. Overhead utility lines were put underground, the dumpsters were moved into compactor rooms, and pedestrian friendly pavers replaced the broken asphalt.
In 2001, planters and overhead lights were added to the alley. The Oregon Downtown Development Assoc. awarded its Physical Improvement and Community Reinvestment Award to Middleford Ally in 2000.
