What REALLY happened.
Bartlett Street Improvements
In-Progress, $2,154,000Bartlett Street, between Middleford Alley and 9th Street, provides a connection from the Jackson County Headquarters Library, RCC/SOU Campus, and Craterian Theater to The Commons Project. Pedestrians, automobiles, bicycles, and delivery vehicles will share Bartlett Street. Planned Improvements include: under grounding utilities, rebuilding sidewalks, curbs and streets, and new street trees.
Preliminary design of the project was completed and approved by the Board in FY06-07. During FY07-08 engineering will be completed and construction will commence. Design and construction of the project has been coordinated with the RCC/SOU project. The Bartlett Street Improvement Project is scheduled for completion in September 2008 (FY08-09).
The RCC/SOU Medford Joint Higher Education Facility is part of the Bartlett Street Improvement Project.
This project is supported by the following City Center Revitalization Plan projects: URP02, URP03, URP04 and URP08.
