Rogue Community College is proud to be a partner in the new Cultural and Educational district being created in the heart of downtown Medford. Voters in 1996 overwhelmingly approved annexing Jackson County into the RCC district. The following year Rogue began to develop the Riverside Campus by renovating three buildings that formerly housed car dealerships. Since then, responding to tremendous enrollment surges, Rogue's urban campus has grown to become a seven-building complex that is playing a key role in downtown Medford's renaissance. This year the college purchased and renovated the historic Wards Building - preserving an important part of Medford's heritage. Located at Eighth and Central, this two-story art deco facility serves as RCC's flagship building and represents Rogue's commitment to downtown. In addition to classrooms and labs, the building contains offices, a tutoring center, a comfortable student lounge and a coffee bar. At RCC students can select from a wide range of college transfer classes, professional/technical programs, and community education offerings. In addition, RCC provides adult basic education and English as a Second Language. Rogue also maintains the Redwood Campus near Grants Pass and is developing a technology-oriented campus in White City. The college operates learning centers conveniently located throughout the Rogue Valley. This year RCC is celebrating its 30th anniversary of serving the 260,000 residents of the Rogue Valley.
